What is Silver Immune Support?
Our Colloidal Silver is a pure, all-natural clear liquid consisting of purified distilled water (ozone oxygenated) and submicroscopic nano-particles of 99.999% pure silver. There are NO chemicals used or added in the manufacturing process.
The term colloidal silver has been misused by manufacturers that produce (knowingly or unknowingly) silver products contaminated by salts, proteins, compounds and stabilizers, all of which degrade and reduce the bioactivity of the silver.
The bio-active silver in Silver Immune Support is a mixture of silver ions and silver nanoclusters as small as 1 nm in size. This should not be confused with “ionic silver,” which would be comprised entirely of silver ions.
Bio-active Silver Immune Support is composed of two ingredients: 99.999% pure silver and distilled pharmaceutical-grade pure water. It is formulated with positively charged silver ions and the smallest type of silver nanoparticles called nanoclusters or “nano-silver”.

How does colloidal Silver Immune Support work?
As you are already aware, germs such as virus, fungus, and bacteria are all living organisms that count on oxygen for their metabolic processes. Usually, they utilize an enzyme to process oxygen. The silver ions in the silver colloid solution attack this enzyme process and kill the pathogen/germ from within. Subsequently, these pathogens are not able to use oxygen and pass away, then excreted normally from the body.
What purity is the silver?
We use 99.999% silver. We source from different mines in the USA and it is refined to our specifications of 99.999% pure.
There is a large difference in 99.99% and 99.999% purity silver. We strongly recommend only using 99.999% silver for internal use due to the dangers of toxic heavy metals or impurities in 99.99% silver products.

How is silver regulated in the USA and Canada?
USA: According to the US EPA (CASRN 7440-22-4) daily Oral Silver Reference Dose (RfD) applied to 10 ppm (parts per million), one adult may ingest 178,850 servings safely over 70 years.* There are however throughout the dietary supplement industry, many questionable products that may be toxic or unsafe.
Iwalu recommends avoiding silver products above 10 ppm, because with silver, more ppm is not more effective. Similarly, for example one 500mg aspirin will safely alleviate pain whereas aspirin becomes toxic above the recommended dosage.
CANADA: Bio-active silver (the form of colloidal silver in iwalu products) has been classified in Canada by the Natural & Non-Prescription Health Product Directorate (the risk assessment division of Health Canada, the Canadian equivalent to the US FDA) as a Trace Element, meaning an essential element for the maintenance of good health.*

Is iwalu Silver safe for pregnant or nursing women?
Although silver is a naturally occurring component of the human and animal diet, FDA regulations limit the labeling of dietary supplements. Please consult with your health care provider to find out if colloidal silver at 10 nano-meters particle size and concentrated at 10 ppm is appropriate for your needs during pregnancy or for the needs of your baby.
Silver is a naturally occurring trace element found in all mammalian milk, edible mushrooms, whole grains, spring water, saltwater and even tap water, among others.
Is silver safe for children under 4 years of age?
In accordance with the Dietary Supplement Health Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA), dietary supplements may only be marketed for children 4 years and older. Please see your health care practitioner for use with children under age 4.
Children OVER age 4 years old take one half the adult dose given on the label.
Are there side effects?
Aside from the Herxheimer detox effect (see below), there are no recorded side effects in medical literature from the use of ionic colloidal silver unless the person is allergic to silver.
There has never been a recorded case of a drug interaction. It is non-addicting and the body does not build up a tolerance to it.
Most is flushed out of a body within the first few days of consumption, and studies show that ionic colloidal silver is not deposited under the skin like silver salts and other silver compounds that have been shown to cause the greyish/blue skin condition called Argyria when taken in large doses over long periods of time.
Since colloidal silver kills germs, a detoxifying reaction can occur which is called the Herxheimer effect. This is a temporary flu-like condition resulting from the overloading of the body’s excretory systems caused by the massive die-off of pathogens. Should you begin to feel run down after first taking or increasing your consumption of colloidal silver, then reduce your intake for a few days and drink more water to aid in the body’s detoxification process.

WHAT IS THE SCIENCE OF SILVER WATER?
What is the amount of colloidal silver a person should take per day?
The US Environmental Protection Agency publishes a reference dose (Rfd) for silver which is an estimate of daily exposure to the entire population that is unlikely to be associated with a significant risk of adverse effects over a lifetime.
Many people take the standard dose of one teaspoon each day for daily immune system maintenance and larger amounts for short periods of time when their immune system is compromised. Please remember to drink plenty of water especially during the first week because large numbers of pathogens may be rapidly exterminated within the body and the excretory systems work tirelessly to flush or detox out the dead germs.

Why don’t the instructions on your spray tell me how to use it in my nose?
iwalu is required by the FDA and FTC to only label and recommend our products within the guidelines of DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994), and therefore can only advise for oral ingestion for the structure/function claim of Immune Support* and not any specific ailment or symptom.
What is the status of Silver in modern medical use?
Structure function claims for Silver are limited by FDA regulations to Immune Support. However, silver is rapidly increasing in its use across multiple applications for human benefit, especially with the increased incidents of antibiotic-resistant diseases.

No, refrigeration is not required or recommended for any of our products. We recommend keeping the product away from sources of electromagnetic energy (microwaves, electrical outlets) and direct sunlight. Also, the product should not be frozen.
Should silver water be taken on an empty stomach, or stop taking it after a certain amount of time?

Can I use Silver Water Immune Support after the 3-year expiration date?
All iwalu Silver Immune Support have a 3-year expiration date, based upon evidence from stability studies. This means that after the 3-year period, a silver content analysis would still show a reading of at least 10 ppm (label claim). Over time, the concentration may decrease gradually as the silver adheres to (or adsorbs onto) the inside of the bottle or the surfaces of the closure system. It is always best to consume the product by (or before) the expiration date.
Does extreme heat damage the product?
The product will not be damaged if exposed to temperatures under 125 degrees Fahrenheit for short periods. It is not recommended to store the product in a car during the summer, where temperatures can exceed this for prolonged periods.
Is silver found in the diet as a trace element?
Silver is naturally found as a trace element in foods such as wheat, mammalian breast milk, and mushrooms, as well as natural waters. People on “free from” diets, such as gluten-free, dairy-free, or nut-free may not get the typical trace quantities found in the diet.
Canada has recognized Silver as a Trace Element, meaning an essential element for the maintenance of good health.
Are silver products with higher PPM concentrations more effective?
What makes one silver product more effective than another is not its PPM concentration but rather its particle size, electrical charge and purity. More is not always better because the smaller the particle, the more bioavailable it becomes, and the greater the surface area available for conversion to bioactive silver while within the body.
Please do your research and be cautious of high PPM silver products as they may be unsafe.
What about the Mild Silver Protein products?
Mild Silver Proteins (MSP) contain silver in a bound form that leaves less available for bio-activity within the body.
Silver proteins are not required for the body to receive the immune support action of silver. In fact, binding silver into protein compounds actually limits their supportive interaction within the body. This makes them less effective than iwalu Silver Immune Support with > 98% bioactive silver.
Why is Silver Immune Support clear in color while most other silver products are not?
Silver Immune Support is a made of positively charged silver ions and silver nanoclusters (particles <5 nm). Larger particles lead to a visible yellow color, and more particles absorb more light. Darker color is an indication of one or more of the following: Large particles that reflect or absorb visible light, compounds (salts or proteins), reduction of bio-active silver ions, or other impurities. A smaller particle is desirable due to surface area – and if visible color is an indication of larger particles, then visible color is your visual cue to less effective (larger particles) products.
Why are small size particles more effective*?
Surface area is critical for efficacy since the change from neutral metal to positively charged bio-active silver happens at the surface of the silver particle. Only the outermost layer or two of atoms on the nanoparticle surface will be able to convert during circulation in the body before excretion.
Only the outer layer of atoms of the silver particle can be peeled off and converted into bio-active silver, before the remaining particle is excreted. A smaller particle size gives greater surface area and greater potential to convert into bio-active silver.
Do silver water ions combine with chloride in the body making them ineffective?
Chemistry shows that in the presence of large excesses of chloride ion, such as that found in stomach acid and/or blood, the silver exists as a water soluble complex ion containing 2 chloride ions per silver ion. Since this is water soluble, it can be readily absorbed through the stomach if necessary. Now, while the strength of the complex ion formed by the reaction of silver with the two chloride ions is enough to prevent precipitation, it is also not enough to prevent the silver from its normal ability. There is no loss in effectiveness*.
